Winner of the IABM 2018 Broadcaster/Media Company of the Year

NEP's Australia team wins IABM's Broadcast/Media Company of the Year for their innovative Andrews Hubs.

Pittsburgh, PA

NEP is pleased to announce that they are the recipient of IABM's 2018 Broadcaster/Media Company of the Year award.  NEP’s Australian team won the award for the Andrews Hubs, their IP remote production technology with two hubs in Sydney and Melbourne which have the ability to handle productions across the country and intercontinentally.  The Andrews Hubs connect with 29 sporting venues across Australia and utilize over two thousand SMPTE ST 2110 links.

“The consumption model of broadcast is changing. People want everything anywhere, all the time. To keep pace with this trend and allow Fox Sports Australia and other stations to produce ever more high-quality content with their most talented people, NEP Australia broke away from the limitations of siloed operations. NEP’s new Andrews Hubs in Sydney and Melbourne—the most technically advanced facilities on this scale in the world—enable multiple concurrent outside broadcasts via IP,” said Christian Scheck of Lawo, who nominated NEP Australia.

The awards ceremony was held during the IABM Annual International Business Conference in Birmingham, UK and recognized outstanding achievement in 2018 in several key areas of the broadcast and media technology industry.  NEP Australia’s achievement with the Andrews Hubs had a significant impact on the entire industry, around the globe, and garnered this important recognition from IABM.
