NEP redefined production models with centralized and remote production hubs, pioneering IP-based workflows and scalable ST 2110 infrastructure that set new standards for efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability.

NEP’s roots were established through early broadcast innovation and major global moments, including supporting the Olympic Games and spinning out as an independent production services company. This era defined NEP’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to technical excellence, culminating in the move of headquarters to Pittsburgh.

With the first fully in-house built mobile unit and early adoption of HDTV, NEP earned a reputation for systems design and engineering leadership. Strategic acquisitions positioned NEP as a trusted partner for premier sports and broadcast clients.

A period of accelerated growth saw NEP expand internationally through acquisitions across the U.S. and U.K., forming the foundation of a worldwide broadcast services network while maintaining deep regional expertise.

NEP continues to invest in people, sustainability, and next-generation production—from cloud and virtualized workflows to global training initiatives and sustainable innovation—culminating in NEP’s 40th year as an independent global leader.

NEP advanced the industry through thought leadership and technical breakthroughs—from publishing TV on Wheels to deploying record-setting projection projects and next-generation HD mobile units designed for the world’s largest productions.
