Edward (Ed) Reno is President of SOS Global Express, responsible for overseeing the strategy and operations of the business in the US, the UK and the UAE. SOS provides freight forwarding and logistics solutions for clients worldwide in television, music and touring, aviation, sports, tobacco, pharmaceuticals, fashion and other industries who trust SOS to handle all aspects of time-sensitive shipments requiring tight control.
Ed has over 27 years of transportation experience working in all facets of the industry. He started as Operations Manager with SOS Global Express in February of 1997 in the New Bern, North Carolina corporate office. In March 2001, Ed joined the Atlanta office as Customer Service & Operations manager before finally returning to the corporate office in August 2006. He has had management experience with increasing levels of responsibility within multiple areas of the business including operations, sales, national accounts, contracts, pricing/billing and insurance/liability.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Ed resides in North Carolina with his wife and four children.
